It’s My First Physiotherapy/Sports Massage/Podiatry Appointment – What Do I Wear? Do I need to bring Anybody Or Any Personal Information?
For most treatment sessions we recommend wearing a pair of shorts and, for ladies, a strappy top. During assessment and treatment these garments can help you feel more at easy and maintain dignity.
The nature of some of our therapy treatments and assessment require a state of undress and may include manual handing with close proximity of therapist and patient. Patients under the age of 16 years will always require a parent or guardian to be present at every appointment or the session will not go ahead and you may still be charged at the full rate.
Please bring details of any medication you are taking to the first appointment and if your medication changes you let our practitioner know as this may affect the type of treatment and advice offered to manage your rehabilitation. This is for our records and your safety.
What Happens If I Miss Or Cancel My Appointment?
If you give 48 hours’ notice that you cannot attend your appointment, we will rearranged free of charge to the earliest possible convenient appointment. If you fail to attend and do not inform us then you may still be charged for the lost appointment at the full cost. Our customers are extremely important to us and we would look to be reasonable in most circumstances.
